I am very happy to finally introduce Beau! He is a 7 year old, 16.2hh Irish Sport Horse.
I have owned Beau a few days now and can't wait to get stuck into Academy life and start training sessions with him. As of yet, Beau is relatively inexperienced, he came over from Ireland as a late 5 year old and had one previous short-term home before going to a yard on sales livery where I have just bought him as a 7 year old. His basic schooling has already been established; he has been cross country, and been to a few showjumping and dressage competitions, however, there is still a lot to work on and progress, particularly the development of his flatwork.
He loves jumping and never wants to touch a pole, and having jumped him around a fair few courses so far he is yet to tap one! So I can only hope he keeps this mentality for the future. He is great fun to jump and so far we have jumped round a little course of 1.15/1.20m (a little clip below), and although both him and I are not ready to jump a proper course of this size he shows great potential with a great attitude to his work.
Although he is a sensitive character, he is very sweet and willing and I am looking forward to building a bond and partnership with him over the next few months and to see how we can progress.
